Has the printed magazine had its day?
With so much media readily available at our fingertips, it would certainly be questionable to ask if the table-top magazine has had its day?
As a nation we spend hours sourcing the internet, especially when we are looking to re-decorate a room in our home. The likes of Pinterest and Houzz, along with other social media platforms provide us with free limitless ideas and inspiration. Whether on a laptop or PC, or indeed on a mobile device, from the initial researching to the actual purchase, we spend a staggering 79 days* gathering information!
This may seem like a totally unrealistic statistic, but the journey has only just begun once we know the look we are aiming for!
After all, without seeing a photo of PLAANK Rocky Mountain Grey wall cladding donning a curved staircase would you have thought it possible?
A huge amount of those 79 days* is spent doing ‘homework’! Most of us do have to work to a budget. Factors such as the cost implications, where to buy and even reviews of the supplier all contribute to this inordinate amount of time!
And it may come as an even bigger surprise that as a nation we do still find the time to read a magazine. In fact, 27 million* adults read a printed version of their chosen title each month.
Magazines, rather than being totally pictorial will tell us where to purchase from or offer us information on how best to install a product such as wall panelling...
800,000 of us choose to read a monthly Home Interest title. Whether online or the paper version, magazines form an overall part of our ‘homework’ when we are wanting to update our homes.
Back in December, here at PLAANK we ran a competition in conjunction with Utopia Kitchen & Bathroom, January 2018 issue. Out of all the entries received, and there was a lot, one lucky winner was selected to receive six boxes of our fabulous Rocky Mountain Grey cladding!
We can’t wait to see the photos of their finished room and thank you to all who entered…
If you weren’t the lucky recipient, but would like to share photos with us of your recently cladded wall or room, please feel free to email them to us – we would really love to see them!
