Inspired by Autumnal colours...

It’s that time of year here in the UK when the leaves on the trees turn, changing our gardens and parks into a sea of russets, oranges and browns.

The change in the foliage is believed to be caused by the Autumn equinox, where daylight hours are less than hours of darkness. Whilst it’s a significant sign that Winter is just around the corner, the beauty of Autumn seems to soften the blow of cold days and even colder nights.

For many fashion and indeed interior designers, the colour palette of Autumn is very inspirational and a go to, popular set of tones.

The popularity of these colours in terms of fashion could be attributed to the fact that it doesn’t matter what colour your hair is, the Autumnal colours suit blondes, brunettes and redheads alike!

Equally, in interiors, the tones suit a multitude of tastes. So whether your style is retro, classic or contemporary, the Autumnal ochres, reds, oranges and browns all work equally well.

Here at PLAANK we are also inspired by the seasons. Whilst Ortler Oak and Culebra Peak White might reflect the seasons of Spring and Winter retrospectively, our ranges that are inspired by Autumn are many...

Piz Bernina Pine, from our Reclaimed range, showcases the tones of ochre and russet to offer a wood panelling that will add warmth and charm to any interior.

Likewise, Tryon, Stader and Grohe, all from our 3D range, feature Autumnal tones.

Grohe, with its multi-faceted face appears to have many more colour than simply just russet. And whilst Tryon and Stader feature a selection of Autumnal shades, Tryon has the added advantage of its ‘gaps’.

Prior to installation, the chosen wall or walls can be painted in a contrasting finish, which is then revealed as an accent tone, in and amongst the 3D sections, enabling you to customise your panelling and make it truly bespoke!

Yellowstone Scorched combines rich browns with soft, creamy yellow tones, created by the scorching process using the ancient art of Shou-Sugi-Ban. This beautiful finish is sure to create a talking point in your home, both in terms of its appearance and how the finish is achieved.

If you’re after wooden wall panels in a rich deep brown, then Breithorn Burnt is perfect. Its intense shade makes it an ideal choice for those who want to add warmth to their interior or simply to create a visually interesting, feature wall.

So, if you’re thinking of decorating using any of these shades, look no further than PLAANK for every Autumnal interior design solution.
